Self taught, Maurice picked up a guitar as a child and fell in love with it.
He spent hours and hours in his bedroom as a teenager, perfecting the guitar techniques he had listened to being played by his many guitar heroes.
From Eddie Van Halen to Alex Lifeson, and younger legends like Joe Bonamassa, Maurice listens to and enjoys many genres but particularly rock and blues.
A spell of time living and working in the USA provided him with the opportunity to meet true local blues stars and play with a local band.
Now building on that experience, Maurice is back in Scotland, tutoring aspiring guitarists in and around Aberdeen.
Proficient in both electric and acoustic guitar, Maurice can coach and tutor lead guitarists with established bands and also help others to gain confidence and take the first steps to performing for others.
Maurice can coach and tutor all levels of guitar player so whether you are a complete beginner or a pretty capable musician, you can always learn something new.
Maurice is registered with the Registry of Guitar Tutors at the London College of Music.
